Solid (Privacy)

Solid fences provide maximum privacy. Each board is butted against the next so there is no spacing. There are many purposes for a solid fence. Privacy from neighbors, a busy street, security or a swimming pool are just a few. Solid fences can only be installed in yards that are “fairly” flat, as it does not adapt to hills well. This type of fence is an excellent backdrop for any type of landscaping. Keep in mind that there can be minimal spaces between the boards as the fence (wood) ages and shrinks.
